Axis started with a simple observation: the developers we respected the most weren't the biggest ones. They were the ones who knew every tenant's name, who took the same care with the mechanical room as with the lobby, and who stuck around after the keys turned.
We built Axis to work that way. We buy fewer deals than firms twice our size — because we do our own underwriting, walk every site, and only move when the numbers hold up under pressure. We keep construction and property management in-house, because the only way to deliver a building that operates well in year ten is to have the same team caring about it from the first pour onward.
Twelve years in, we've built a nine-property portfolio across Edmonton and Stony Plain — 186 multifamily units, a specialized industrial asset, and a change-of-use project underway that's one of the most interesting things we've ever worked on.
